Always good to have a backup console around! This Grand MA actually still worked even after being pretty well smooshed!

Comments: I was Tech Director for one of the biggest festivals in the city.  The BoD opted for the cheaper stage company.  They arrived half drunk and unloaded all their stuff.  Stage deck was shaky at best and the roof was a BIG tarp held up by Tomcat truss up front and 4 sections of radio tower in the back (horizontal over head!!)  The structure used to keep it from sagging in the middle looked like street sign posts!!  About 2 hrs into day 2 of the event, we got about 2 inches of rain in about 30 minutes.  You guessed it...The roof filled with about 500 gallons of water and then came crashing down nearly injuring me, several artists trying to save gear, and the sound crew.  Needless to say the stage company didn''t get paid!

The Oklahoma City Civic Center Music Hall

All four venues busy plus an Actor''s Equity Small Professional Company rehearsal in progress.

The kids renting a smaller venue for a dance light off a garage band fogger. It trips the fire alarms for the building, which shuts down all sound systems, including the OKC Philharmonic Pop''s in mid-trill (in the big hall of course). Building empties, etc. etc.

Fire Alarms system scramming the entire sound system seems to have badly glitched it and it takes forever to get the Pops back going. My company (the Equity SPT) fortunately uses all this as a smoke break and has fun gawking at all the audience members milling about outside.

This label is carefully affixed to every Ibeam! Needless to say these beams were in for the old welded-in lamp syndrome!
The classic "solder the fuse" - so much more work than using a gum wrapper! You have to admire the quality of this work. The old "paper-clip in the fuse holder trick" - One wonders if this is now a 60 or 100 amp device! And here we have a company who shall remain nameless in violation of High Ends advice on lamp replacement! The Ibeam  lamp has spring loaded self-adjusting plungers - according to High End these are factory set and must not be adjusted!
